Ah Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world! If there is once place that you have to visit in your life time, it has to be Cape Town.

Why go?

The city has it all! It offers everything that you could ever hope for in a holiday; sun, sand, breathtaking scenery, world rated restaurants, culture, amazing city life and so much more.

How to make the most of 72 hours in Cape Town

First of all you need a place to stay so here are two of my favourite places to stay;

One and Only

Cape Grace

Day one;

I genuinely think that the first day in a new city should be spent relaxing and taking in your new surroundings, possibly even doing a bit of shopping maybe even hitting the beach!

Our first stop is Table mountain, a hike is the best way to start your day. If you get there early enough you can watch the sunrise and I promise you that if you do it will be the most spectacular thing that you will ever see, the view from up there is indescribable. If hiking isn’t your kind of thing you could always take a cable car up there and whilst your up there why not enjoy the view from the local cafe

Nothing sounds better than hitting the beach after your morning hike. Camps bay (one of the best beaches in all of Cape Town) is popular both amongst tourists and locals, it has some of the best views you will ever see of Lions head, however do look out for the overpriced food and drinks among the glitzy restaurants across the strip.

If you have time before doing a spot of shopping at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront take a stroll down Bo-Kaap, one of the most vibrantly-coloured neighbourhoods to ever exist, once you see it you will understand why people call Cape Town the Italy of Africa. The restaurants at V&A are world class and offer some unique but exquisite dishes.And the shopping, oh the shopping – a blend of African and world renowned brands, It’s the best of both worlds!
